Since our move to Portland, I have been itching to check out some of the wineries south of here. There are so many of them and each one has its own unique beauty and charm. I found this online store called VEO Wines where you can find only organic and vegan wines. Most of the Oregon wineries are actually located an hour south of here. At work, we recently release a new app for the Oregon Wine Board. Staring at the beautiful photos and wine only fueled my want for Oregon wine.
Last weekend we finally had the opportunity to sample a few wines in Amity. Cody’s aunt and uncle from Reno were up visiting family and enjoying the area. They had been wine tasting in the area before so they took us to a few of their favorite. The weather was absolutely perfect. We have been having quite a bit of rain lately (I know, I know, OREGON.) A weekend spent outside was exactly what I needed. And it was a great opportunity for me to have some fun with my camera.
Almost all of the wineries we visited had breathtaking views of the valleys below them and a few had some pretty incredible views of Mt. Hood. Lucky for us it was a clear day so we were able to see for miles. Spring is really taking over around here and everything is in bloom.
It was fascinating to look at the different vines. Some where old and large like these and others were very thin.
How amazing would it be to live in that house and have a pond and so much space to explore!
It was such a clear day we could see for miles. Check out that mountain in the distance.
Beautiful table arrangement of fresh wild flowers. I want to do this!
